Cult actor Anthony Perkins is one of the most underrated stars from the end of the last century. Mainly known for Hitchcock’s Psycho and Orson Welles’ The Trial, his career was plagued by misfortune. One of the best out of many hidden gems in his oeuvre is this film, PRETTY POISON. The script written by one of the craziest scriptwriters in Hollywood, Lorenzo Semple Jr., known for writing some of the 60s Batman series, along with 70’s ultra-paranoia thriller The Parallax View. Elements from Pretty Poison have been influential to David Lynch.
