Ignorance Is No Defence presents: On Saturday 28th September 2024, 7pm to 11pm, the 4th Annual UK Hip Hop Award will take place, showcasing some of the UK’s best current Hip Hop talent whilst raising funds to save one of London’s most famous and important intimate live music venues, the iconic MAP Studio Cafe, which is steeped in British music history and supported many genres, including UK Hip Hop, over the years.
So spread the word, come and join the fun!
DJ Sammy Jay will be on the decks with an epic line up of performances from Essa; Caskie; Daddy Speedo; Raggo Zulu Rebel; 4dee. Sammy Jay was the first winner of the UK Hip Hop Award in 2021. 2022 saw the very talented and hardworking Dekay lift the statue mic with Peaches The Edutainer, this years host, collecting the Award last year in 2023. The Award founded by Hip Hop artist TJ Chill during lockdown will find a home with another much deserving recipient.
We are putting on this event to celebrate the incredible homegrown Hip Hop talent in the UK, and proceeds will go towards saving our wonderful venue MAP Studio Cafe from closure. It’s going to be an amazing night of Hip Hop entertainment from the UK not to be missed.
Tickets are £5 available from Eventbrite.
