The Jeremy Lyons Quartet is a contemporary jazz group featuring London musicians, playing original charts alongside some modern tunes by the likes of Pat Metheny and Kenny Wheeler, with the emphasis on obtaining a cohesive and distinctive group sound, high on melody and improvisation.
Jeremy studied with Perfect Houseplants saxophonist Mark Lockheart at Middlesex, where he formed his own group with German pianist Hans Koller and bassist Dave Whitford. Playing and writing material for the band allowed him to develop his own personal sound and compositional style.
