As heard on BBC Radio 6 Music (Amy Lamé), Girls Are Waiting To Meet You are rocking and back. It’s the musical reunion that (almost) no one expected and that you won’t want to miss.
What’s the story?
In Beijing, 2008, a group of humans formed a band called ‘Girls Are Waiting To Meet You’ (GAWTMY). They played live shows, made an album (called GAWTMY), made a sort-of viral YouTube video (for the song ‘Zombie Girl’) and built up a following (and it was so long ago and far away you’ll never know anyway). The band never wanted to pursue music as a full-time career so they dispersed in 2009 and the fragments can now be found in (impossible) Germany, London, LA, Philadelphia and Shenzhen. But on May 15th 2026, with three members flying in to London a mini and special reunion is happening.
