We are excited to present the Edmund Ashmore Trio on the 17th of January.

Edmund Ashmore is a multi-faceted percussionist from Hertfordshire. Edmund grew up listening to and studying Prog-rock organ trios (ELP, Trace & Niacin) and then later the music of classic Jazz organ trios (Jimmy Smith, Booker T & Jack McDuff). The trio’s sound is inspired by, and melds these influences together. Ed has also absorbed other styles into his playing through his studies of tabla and pandeiro.

The band is comprised of three friends and music graduates. Joe, an accomplished jazz guitarist, and Alex, a skilled pipe organist, which informs his playing on the Hammond. Expect to hear grooves that range from 60s blues to blazing fusion.
