The dramatic story of Ruth Ellis, who was to become the last woman to be executed by hanging in the UK after being convicted of shooting her lover, David Blakely, in the Magdala Tavern (situated directly next to Hampstead Heath overground, it was only shut down last month). She was executed in 1955.
A downbeat, dark film noir set in London. A dazzling performance by Miranda Robinson as Ellis.
