It is a free workshop, which offers unique help with songwriting.
Born in South London, Andy Kyte grew up as a guitar player writing songs and performing from an early age. At 18 he moved to Camden and spent a year gigging acoustically, climaxing in a Channel 4 performance on Orange Unsigned Act. For the next five years he led an urban/indie rock band, California Gypsies, developing his song writing. A love for music theory and a passion to learn more about other styles of music led Andy to take a degree in classical music at Middlesex University. Andy was also able to take modules in jazz theory and harmony, broadening his skills. Since graduating with first class honours, Andy’s classical pieces are being performed increasingly around London. He has developed a music theory book for songwriters and is composing music for documentaries, animations, and video games.
The Kentish Fleet Festival is a weekend for celebrating the creative undercurrent that runs throughout Kentish Town. All the events are free and run by volunteers who are passionate about this beautiful part of the world. Kentish Town was originally settled along the River Fleet, which flowed through the area and today runs underground. The Kentish Fleet Festival celebrates the creativity that runs quietly and unassumingly through Kentish Town — much like the river itself.
