The Westbury Sessions is back to see the WINTER out – we’ll be taking solace from the cold in Kentish Town’s MAP Studio Cafe.

Funds will be directed back into the community – profits are going to NELMA, the North East London Migrant Action group, who provide legal witnesses as well as emergency accommodation for those vulnerable to the Hostile Environment.

LINEUP:

DWYER
Currently starring in LOUDHOUSE’s music & travel show HOMEGROWN, Dwyer is a neat as hell lo-fi producer, as well as a visual artist. His distinctive sounds come largely from zoom mic field recordings, with layers finely tuned enough to make you go “Oi, that’s well cheeky”. His string of tasteful albums most recently features 2019’s NOLO, available on Spotify.

TATENDA MATSVAI
is an interdisciplinary performer, poet and maker, who uses sound and body to create visceral work that tries to bridge the gap between self and other through storytelling. She believes in community, and loves the colour purple. She is currently working on a show called Transit, which will be performed in London in April. Previously a Roundhouse resident artist, you can find her on Soundcloud at @2tender and also @in-the-beat-garden

SOLS
winner of the Tony Tokunbo Fernandez Poetry Prize, Sols is a spoken word poet, actor, rapper & producer, with appearances on Muddy Feet Poetry, Boat Poets, & Apples and Snakes.

MADALISO
Born and raised in Rome, Italy but currently based in Brighton, UK, Madaliso is an independent rapper, songwriter, producer and Radio DJ, who specialises in alternative Hip-Hop. Experimenting with ambient, lo-fi, soulful, jazz-tinged instrumentation, his music is a reflection of his real-life experiences. In 2010 he moved over to the UK to pursue a music career, curating and running music events, and performing on stages such as the Jazz Cafe and Love Supreme Festival.
