Sara Paco is a unique singer, songwriter, guitarist, composer, arranger and producer. She is also an economist and an avid surfer. She began singing at the age of 5 when her parents decided that their little singing bird should join the local children’s choir. At 17, they bought her a guitar and sealed her destiny. While studying economics in Lisbon, she joined the college’s music academic group where she improved her skills. After graduation, she travelled to Dublin, Ireland to work as an intern for a German company. She immediately fell in love with the city and its musical environment. She busked in the cold and rain and performed in venues like The Temple Bar, The Quays, Dame Tavern and The Turk’s Head. In 2015 she applied for The X Factor in London and had the chance to perform in Wembley Arena to the famous panel of judges. Simon Cowell loved her performance and she got all three yes’s and went through to the next phase of the show, and was only eliminated in the boot-camp second challenge. Of thousands of contestants, she made it through to the top 90. In December 2015, Mazda Portugal commissioned Sara to write a song inspired by their iconic roadster, the MX5. Mazda were so delighted by the resulting high video rotation hit ‘Soul Red Car’ (written, arranged and produced by Sara) that they invited Sara to become their company ambassador in Portugal. Last year, Sara moved permanently to London in order to seriously pursue her dream to become a major recording and performing artist. Sara’s first single (‘Play Alone’) was previewed online on July 7th 2017. After four weeks, with zero promotion, it had over one million plays. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w4FaMuPFKUo
