Independent labels NINE8 Collective and Bin Weasel LTD team up for a BIG night at North London’s Map Cafe.
Bringing their heavyweight artists to the stage, the two collectives are working together to give the audience a memorable night of music and art. Highlights will include: Trevor Harley Halliwell + Gridlock Worm, Rex Ardeo, Lava la Rue and Louis Culture.
With emphasis on youthfulness, high art and eclectic sonic palettes, these two underground labels have been attracting a buzz within London’s hip-hop scene.
Rounding up the musical victors of Summer 2017, this night aims to bring only the very best that each label has to offer.
BIG.TREV
Initially making a name for himself in respected underground band ‘Sticky‘, Big Trev‘s solo output has been non-stop since 2016. Combining elements of hip hop, funk, new wave and dance music with an avant garde approach to art; his genre-less sound, dense UK flows and deeply personal/ political subject matters has set him apart from the rest of London’s Hip-Hop scene. Trev will performing tracks from his new releases and will be joined by his crew “Gridlock Worm.” Expect plenty of special guests.

Murky r&B producer , DJ and radio presenter and a curator of the nine8 boutique. Know for his edged beats and seraeted.
SERENA CLARA
Using just piano and vocals as her means, Serena Clara directs you though an intimate, yet hard-hitting journey. Her live show is a moody passage through personal insights and reassuring advise
LOUIS CULTURE
19 Year Old Louis Culture is an artist from South London propelling the sound of British music.
Growing up listening to everything from jazz to purchasing 50 Cent’s Get Rich Or Die Tryin at the age of 5, there’s no wonder his music can not be described within a genre although he does lean towards Alternative Rap in my opinion.
2018 is looking up for Louis after his Complex featured lead single “Culture For 17” which features cult leader Lord Apex and NINE8 Collective Rapper/Singer Lava La Rue.
REX ARDEO
from North London, Islington with authentic and inspired Hip-Hop and Neo-Soul influences in his music. Co-founder of new company called SaveYourself which is a multi-industry networking hub. Connecting with similar minds across different industries, has allowed him to create a network of skilled and unique individuals that sees this process of action as inspiring to it’s target audience
