Germana La Sorsa and Joe Boyle come together as Jazz In Cinema, in this harmonious duo they bring you the finest Jazz Music that was written for or used in Movies over the course of the last Century. This interesting arrangement of just Voice and Double Bass creates some interesting textures, from Wistfully Open to Tense and Sinister, with bountiful experimentation and freedom. Neither however stray too far from the roots of the music or the mood they create.
Germana La Sorsa (Vocals): Coming from Taranto (Italy) Germana studied jazz music extensively across Southern Italy, earning 3 degrees in the process, before moving to London to become one of the most versatile voices on the scene today.
Joe Boyle (Double Bass): Growing up in Portsmouth, Joe learnt to play several instrument (including the violin, piano and guitar) before eventually settling on the Double Bass while at university studying jazz. He has since spent a number of years gigging on the scene around London since graduating.
